Anton Mulder

I am Anton Mulder, born in 1951 in Wolvega on the Lycklamaweg. I am the 2nd child of the Mulder family, which grew to 11 children. I have been married to Janny Troelstra since 1980. We have 3 children, all of whom are married and now have 4 grandchildren.

In 1956 we moved to Peperga, where father had bought a ''little farm''.
I went to primary school in Steggerda. After this, after the primary agricultural school in St. Nicolaasga. After this training, I went to the secondary agricultural school in Meppel. During this time I worked with father on the farm. Get up at 4 o'clock in the morning and then milk the cows before school. In the evening we milk again and take a milk ride with a horse and cart to the dairy factory in Steggerda. From 1967 to 1990 I worked as an RMO driver at De Melkweg in Bolsward. The first years in the area under the Linde in Weststellingwerf and Ooststellingwerf. In later years a much larger area, Hasselt, Rouveen, Staphorst, Friesland Groningen, Drenthe even into Germany.

In 1990 I started working as a driver in exceptional transport. The loads were often too long, too wide or too high. During this work I also drove a lot in Germany.
From 1999 to 2015 I worked at Oenema Transport BV in Heerenveen, where I was a group transport driver. (transporting children to special education). In addition to group transport, I also did office work here for the first 9 years, including handling transport abroad and back again, because I had considerable accounting experience and had had to deal with freight papers a lot.
After this, another 3 years in the taxi administration. During this time, since 2007, I have also become increasingly interested in municipal politics.
